French architect designed the 24 suites in Rome’s Palazzo Rhinoceros
Brilliant architecture + cult design objects + art — this saw the formula for the success of your project Fondazione Alda Fendi — Esperimenti. To realize this bold vision, which was called at The Rooms of ROM, was invited prittskerovskoy winner, French architect Jean Nouvel (Jean Nouvel). Venue — the Roman “Palace of the Rhino” (Rhinoceros Palazzo), where there are now luxury apartments, designer furniture, exhibition plasaka and a restaurant with a menu that promises visitors a lot of gastronomic experiences.
From the Palazzo overlooks the sights of Rome: the Church of San Giorgio in Velabro, the Arch of Janus, the temple of Vesta and of course, beautiful Roman hills.
The task of the architect was to create in the room not just a space for living but also to preserve the historical context of Palazzo of the XVII century, and to build the ideal scenery for the exhibition space. A large-scale project — a total of 3500 sqm On the first three floors of the Palazzo nouvelles recreated and designed residential apartments. On the fifth and sixth floors of the building housed an art gallery and a restaurant, Caviar Kaspia Roma chief Giammarino Giovanni (Giovanni Giammarino). Their work is supervised by the President of the hotel chain Room Mate kike Sarasola.
Exposed brick walls, raw concrete, steel, panel trompe l’oeil that simulates a mirror in the interior the architect has combined many different techniques. Furniture — lots of recognizable iconic design objects of the twentieth century, including the famous armchair Up 5 (or Donna) design Gaetano Pesce (Gaetano Pesce) from B&B Italia, chairs and tables Vitra and Knoll. At the exhibition the Fondazione, the authors wanted to build a bridge between the history of Italy and the contemporary art context.
