New York design studio AvroKO completely updated the typical motel in the 1940s in the American Napa Valley, turning it into a cozy boutique hotel. Nostalgic memories of great travels on American highways, sung by the genre of road-movies and became a symbol of the 1950-1970s, served as the main creative impulse. California Retro: boutique hotel in the Napa Valley The retro atmosphere is felt in the color scheme: in shades of bluish wormwood, mint, mustard, pale terra cotta, which shades deep navy blue. More explicitly, by the 1960s, it was sending out furniture: chairs for the design of Charles and Ray Eames, armchairs and bedside tables in the spirit of the mid-century. In some rooms, the seats are laid out in double beds - just like in American "houses on wheels", and the breakfast areas are decorated as a corner of a roadside snack bar.
The renovated hotel has 50 rooms, each with its own exit to the parking lot (this is what distinguishes the American motor lodge from an ordinary motel). There are three swimming pools with mineral water from underground hot springs, a MoonAcre Spa with a special room for salt baths and a garden with hammocks.
