What’s new with Samsung’s new Galaxy Note7? Read on to find out
After Samsung's big reveal with the Galaxy S7, there was only one more series which had our biggest anticipation and amazingly enough, the Galaxy Note7 sounds like it won't disappoint. We break down some of our favourite (and new) features of Samsung's upcoming smartphone.
The Galaxy Note7 S Pen
One of the top reasons why people opt for the Samsung Galaxy Note series is the pen. And so with every new Galaxy Note, the team at Samsung needs to upgrade more than just the smartphone. For the latest S Pen that comes with the Galaxy Note7, it has been enhanced to a smaller 0.7mm tip with improved pressure sensitivity.
In terms of the programme within, the S Pen comes with new Air Command functions, which includes Magnify and Translate, allowing users to zoom in on the screen or convert languages by just hovering the S Pen over the screen. And because the Galaxy Note7 has a water-resistant body with an IP68 rating (it can be submerged up to 1m deep), even the S Pen has been enabled to write when the screen is wet.
It has a more advanced security feature
Losing your smartphone is bad enough but it's worst if all your information inside it falls into the wrong hands. The Galaxy Note7 comes with an industry-leading security platform called Samsung Knox, and highly advanced biometric authentication, including fingerprint scanner and iris scanning technology.
Next up, it comes with a Secure Folder, which has an extra layer of authentication to keep information truly and safely P&C.
It has a gorgeous, curved 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED screen and is able to deliver a cinema-like experience with brighter colours and a deeper black as it can stream HDR videos. In addition, the Galaxy Note7 is pretty tough and durable as it's equipped with Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 and a 3,500mAh battery – which charges quickly with the new USB-C port. Photo-taking wise, it's fitted with the same advanced camera as the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.
