From 13 March to 9 April 2020 in the new multimedia space Elephant West in West London will host a solo exhibition “Insanity Fair” (“Fair of madness” — eng.) British artist Subs Ansari.
Subs Ansari (Zoobs Ansari) has received worldwide recognition thanks to its exceptional multimedia works, combining photo, video and painting. At the court of London audiences will feature portraits and videos of the famous “the world of vanity fair,” such as John Lennon, Amy Winehouse, David Bowie, Melanie Griffith, Lori Rodkin and cher. Eminent British art historian Jean Wainwright (Jean Wainwright) says: “the Inspiration for Subs was the iconic quote by Andy Warhol that “in the future everyone will have their 15 minutes of fame”, which became a strong visual metaphor of his work reflecting the dynamics of development of contemporary culture.”

After being educated at Kingston University, the artist began his career in advertising, taking a job as a photographer and designer in the headquarters of Shiseido company in Paris, where he worked for several years under Serge Lutens. Certain influence on formation of creative identity of Subsa had a pop culture of 80-ies: music performed by Madonna, Michael Jackson, Agnetha Feltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad from the group ABBA and also the famous American soap Opera “Dallas” and “Dynasty” with a bright Joan Collins.
