Sadly, for the diamond industry (and perhaps the state of modern romance) the ring market on eBay has gone up 58% in last 5 years, as buying jewellery over the internet has become a more secure process.
It’s no wonder that diamond retailers are concerned about this unfussed new approach to engagements with the Diamond Producers Association launching a USD$18 million advertising campaign last year to convince buyers of the benefits of buying a new diamond engagement ring as oppose to antique and custom-made alternatives.
